Four powerful villains, The Monarch, Bloodshadow, Madfire, and Commander Strap, combine forces and eliminate all of the crime-fighters in Logan City. Among the citizens affected by these events are Christine Michaelson, a reporter who's always admired costumed heroes, and Karen Styles, who previously retired from masked adventures due to her religious convictions.
